Nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers are invited to join us on Thursday, February 20 for a Door County Nonprofit Training Series workshop focused on building volunteer program capacity.
During the session, attendees will learn from Kelly Hellman and Bob Shogren about the changing landscape of volunteerism, effective volunteer program characteristics, keys for volunteer success, and strengthening a volunteer program’s impact.
Kelly Hellmann serves as the Director of Operations at United Way of Door County, where she leads Volunteer Connections. In this role, Hellman has collaborated with industry experts to identify volunteer program best practices that can benefit local Door County nonprofits. Bob Shogren, currently the Development and Operations Manager at Birch Creek Music Performance Center, has a wealth of nonprofit experience, having served as a nonprofit director and as the service and volunteerism director for three Arizona governors.
