Partnering with Investment Professionals
Partnering with local investment professionals to serve our shared clients.
The Door County Community Foundation invests the bulk of its assets through a Central Investment Pool. However, it is also common for our donors to request that their family’s Charitable Fund be invested with a trusted investment advisor. Whenever possible, we make every effort to honor that request.
Consider the hypothetical example of John and Jane Smith.
A generous local couple, John and Jane Smith want to create a Donor Advised Fund and centralize their giving through the Community Foundation. But rather than place those assets in our Central Investment Pool, the Smiths have requested that we work with their preferred investment manager, XYZ Investments. After conducting our due diligence, we establish the John & Jane Smith Charitable Fund and the Community Foundation invests those assets with XYZ Investments as follows:
Working together is a wonderful partnership because we’re each asked to do what we do best.
The Community Foundation works with our shared client to identify the charities that will benefit from their generosity and the investment manager concentrates on building the investment portfolio.
And if our shared client decides to endow their Fund, the partnership between the Community Foundation and the investment manager can potentially exist literally forever.
We’d welcome the opportunity to visit with you and discuss how we can work together and best serve our shared clients. Contact us at the Door County Community Foundation and let’s begin our partnership.
