Community Investment Grants
Destination Door County has launched the Community Investment Fund which will use dollars generated by visitors to improve the quality of life for those who live and work in Door County. Grant awards will vary greatly, ranging from just a few thousand dollars to potentially into the hundreds of thousands. We anticipate that the average grant will be about $100,000, but more modest requests are welcome and encouraged. Click here to learn more about Community Investment Fund Grants.
Door County Mental Health Support Grants
The Mental Health Support Fund provides grants for programs that promote mental health awareness, support mental health education, or provide mental healthcare for people in Door County. Although smaller and larger grant requests will be considered, grants typically average $5,000 per program. Applications are considered in March and December. Healthy Water Door County Grants
The mission of Healthy Water Door County is to protect our community’s human, environmental, and economic health by guarding against threats to our water. Grants are available to projects and initiatives that further this mission. Reviewed on a monthly basis, there is no minimum or maximum grant amount. Laird Educational Mini Grants
Each Fall, the Door County Community Foundation offers Educational Mini Grants to assist school personnel seeking ways to improve and enhance the educational experience of Door County students. Qualified applicants are those working within schools as current or retired certified educators, non-certified employees, before or after-school activity leaders, lunchroom staff, or are engaged in other similar roles within the school setting. The maximum grant amount will be $500.00 per grant.
Sustainability Grants
Sustainability Grants provide the critical operational support for the charities that sustain our quality of life in Door County. There is no minimum or maximum grant amount, but we anticipate awarding multiple grants during each quarter typically in the range of $2,500 to $5,000. Women’s Fund of Door County Community Grants
The Women’s Fund of Door County supports projects that provide education and information, build self-esteem, support solutions for critical issues, and are research-based and data-driven. Grant applications are due in March and September. Special consideration is given to projects that; prioritize women and girls, support those with fewer opportunities by removing barriers, are inclusive and engage diverse populations, are innovative and offer a new or unique approach to addressing women’s issues, provide education and results in long-lasting impact. Youth Mini Grants
The Door County Service Club Coalition has partnered with the Community Foundation to offer two separate youth grant programs; Youth as Resources Grants and Youth in Theater Grants. Due on the 1st of March, May, October, and December, these grants are available to youth in our community with a maximum grant amount of $500. Click here to learn more about Youth Mini Grants.
