While the Door County Community Foundation itself is not an essential service, we provide important support for the organizations that do provide critical services to Door County. Hence, we are taking the following steps in response to the current health crisis:
Meetings at Community Foundation Square
Our meeting rooms and office facility – Community Foundation Square – is now closed to the public. Our meeting rooms and office facility – Community Foundation Square – is now closed to the public.
The Community Foundation will continue to operate at full capacity during the current health crisis. However, to honor the Governor’s Safer-at-Home instruction, most of our employees are now working remotely. All of our professional staff will continue to be available by telephone, email, and video conference. Call (920) 746-1786 if we can be of service.
During this health crisis we may have to be apart, but we’ll get through it by working together.
Free Video Conferencing Services
While we will continue to host essential meetings at Community Foundation Square, we encourage you to instead consider using our video conferencing system.
As a response to this health crisis, the Community Foundation has temporarily expanded our video conferencing system and is making it available to Door County’s charities and community coalitions during this health crisis. You do NOT need to physically be at Community Foundation Square to use our video conferencing service. You and your meeting attendees can participate from the isolation of your home or office through your smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a camera. Our video conferencing service is very simple to use and is accessed through your web browser or a simple app you download to your phone. We can accommodate up to 100 participants at any meeting.
During the duration of this health crisis, all of Door County’s charities and community coalitions are invited to use the Community Foundation’s expanded video conferencing system free of charge. However, priority will be given as follows:
- Any meeting relating to the delivery of an important community service to Door County during this health crisis.
- Meetings of boards of directors of Door County charities.
- All other meetings.
To request the use of the Community Foundation’s video conferencing system for your meeting, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. In the email indicate your requested meeting date, starting and ending time, and the essential purpose of your meeting.
The Door County Community Foundation is pleased to offer free meeting space for non-profits and civic groups in our community.
The Door County Community Foundation offers flexible meeting rooms to virtually any community group that needs it. We’ve created a separate entrance off the parking lot, and invested in technology which will allow the community to safely use the building during whatever hours work best for them.
The Community Foundation currently offers 2 meeting room options to non-profits and civic groups in our community. An additional meeting room is available to the projects and initiatives of the Community Foundation. Meetings can be booked for the current month and the following 3 months; for special consideration of non-recurring events, please email email@example.com . Prior to requesting a room for your meeting, please review the Rules and Regulations of the Meeting Rooms at Community Foundation Square.
