The Friends of Toft Point, Inc. formed in 2000 in order to protect the Toft Point State Natural Area from unlawful destructive activities. The property is owned by the University of Wisconsin and managed by the UW Green Bay Cofrin Center for Biodiversity.
Its mission is to support the management plan of the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, to help preserve the flora and fauna of this property and to help educate visitors about the natural history and the Toft family history of this State Natural Area and National Natural Landmark.
Its activities include education of visitors, trail maintenance and removal of invasive species. The endowments help preserve and protect Toft Point and assist with the control and eradication of invasive species.
